Got a great deal on a smoking amp from R-T brother WizardSouth-JP. Haven’t had a chance to try different cabs but it sounds killer through the EVH with Griffs Super Drive in front of it.

Great amps. Amazing clean channel, too. Can't get over how good the clean is on that thing for such an insanely heavy high gain second channel.

Yep, agreed on the clean channel - The high gain channel is great obviously, but the clean is really surprisingly good for this style of amp

I’ll have to wait til my nephew comes over to try the clean channel. Lol. He’s a “no” gain guy.

It's not on the level of a dedicated expensive clean amp like a two rock or matchless or something but it's really awesome IMO
Like very close to a fender style
If you've got a good delay and verb around it can definitely do the instagram clean tone thing

They put that strymon "shimmer" reverb on a decent fender tone and play Cory Wong bullshit with sweeping and get a million views
When headless said his nephew played no gain that's immediately what came to mind as far as young people playing without gain lol

My nephew plays without any effects at all. He’s headed to Nashville. Hopefully we will know his name some day. His favorite player is Tom Bukovak. He will sit through our metal jams before he wipes the floor with us with low gain and no modulation.

I love the Archon 50 combo.
Friends were over jamming yesterday, thru the Archon and SLO with 4x12.
That lil combo sounded great, stood up to the half stack just fine, at loud home/small club volumes.
The Archon and a couple of pedals is all I need to cover just about anything, easy to haul anywhere, sounds great at low to loud band volumes.
Wish I had one of these way back when I first got into playing.

I had the OG archon 100w and the 50w, great amps and smoke the new ones which sounds like a harsh bees nest.

Mine is a new one, not harsh at all. I'd describe it as smooth, with lower mids.
Only thing I don't like is no stdby switch.
There is some noise when using the effects loop, but I don't notice it after a second.
Congrats OP! Hope you enjoy that 100w beast.
