Shredding it up a Little with my new Charvel (Video)

Thanks again brothers, way too kind to an old hack like myself lol!! Thank you! The white Charvel is a US pro mod, used it for the doubled rhythm track throughout. The brown Charvel is MiJ DK24 (Mahogany w/walnut top) used it on all the leads. The Axe III stuff: intro tone and rhythm...

Shredding it up a Little with my new Charvel (Video)

Damn, thanks so much for the comments and checking it out, gents!! @guitup, yep, that was from a half I ran over there maybe the year before last (I live in metro ATL, was a pretty easy dart across the line to run in AL).

Shredding it up a Little with my new Charvel (Video)

I've made tons of videos over the years of original guitar music but always in the same format (dude sitting in his jam room playing) so for this one I thought I'd try something different, brought in my gf for some fun, hope you like it! Super simple tracking: guitars are Charvel's straight...

    Love my AXE III

Nuno vs Lynch vs Prince vs Steve Vai

I like to think of these "vs" debates in an odd way I guess. I usually think (to determine overall guitar prowess/talent)..."If I asked Vai to play guitar in the style of Prince or Nuno", could he? I'm positive he can, at least a very respectable take on either of them. Same challenge for Nuno...

Axe fx 3 tones!!! This thing is insane!

I absolutely love my AXE III for recording, soooo easy to get incred tones that work perfect in a mix. I don't see myself ever playing out again though yet something inside of me says keep the tube amps and I intend to...I just haven't fired them up much since the Fractal hit my desktop.

    Charvel Dad Shred (WIP)

That's the pricey version as it includes hundreds of games and the gui/software to run them. Shame that's all that is avail, the version I bought was only $129 and perfect since I already have all the games, etc. I will say this, it's excellent quality for the money, the sticks, buttons...

    Charvel Dad Shred (WIP)

That sucks. I see that they're sold out, maybe they'll return at some point. Hope you find one. I added the wheel to mine, pretty easy mod (there's a yt clip walking you through it)...the wheel was a must for some of the vintage racing games, just feels so much more like the original games vs a...

    Charvel Dad Shred (WIP)

They sell them at "Microcenter" here in the ATL area but I'm sure you can order them online. They're USB plug n play, work perfectly with MAME and other arcade software. I love mine!

    Charvel Dad Shred (WIP)

Thanks!! I start with stock presets but always tweak them to taste, usually to sound better in a mix setting (the presets to me tend to sound more 'raw' and 'in the room', which I get because they want you to hear what the models can do but that rarely sounds right to me once I track them with...

^^^ Awesome! Sweet licks and love the SLO (long time owner as well). Great looking Charvel too!

    Charvel Dad Shred (WIP)

^^^ Thank you!! The alternate name for this WIP tune could be "the Charvel jam" lol, using three different Charvels, a US pro mod for one side rhythm, a DK24 for the other and a MiJ DK24 (mahogany) for the lead tone. All of them running direct into the AXE FX III into Cubase (bass as well)...

    Charvel Dad Shred (WIP)

Just fooling around with my new Charvel and some old skool type instrumental guitar music. Don't mind the "placeholder" slices, I'm trying to finish up the mix/tune as well as making a simple short subject video, those spots will have biking footage of me and my gf goofing off, etc.

If you were going to purchase a Kemper, AXEFX, or Synergy gear…

Bingo. Honestly, just about everything mentioned in this thread can sound great, we've reached that point, you should be able to make some killer sounding music these days with what's out there, we're living in good times as players. I've recently decided to no longer mention what I'm using in...

If you were going to purchase a Kemper, AXEFX, or Synergy gear…

No way?! I think I've been missing out! Every afternoon when I go for a run I like to listen to the sounds of nature through my earbuds and mp3 player, it helps me keep a relaxed pace - I guess I need to take them out and start listening to the amps signing in the trees, might even make me run...

If you were going to purchase a Kemper, AXEFX, or Synergy gear…

^^ I went through something similar when I started taking those previously mentioned favorite crunchy amp models/cabs and started double tracking some of them in a mix....I had a "WHOOPS" moment lol, suddenly they were off the mark (too bright or too dark) alongside drums, bass, etc. I spent too...

If you were going to purchase a Kemper, AXEFX, or Synergy gear…

Bingo. We sound like similar Axe Fx users lol. After getting comfy with the unit and Axe Edit the first thing I did was go through and find a handful of killer sounding amps (IR's as well) and even went through the trouble of making quick scratch tracks of them to save for reference (my ears...

If you were going to purchase a Kemper, AXEFX, or Synergy gear…

Same as previous post. It seemed apparent to me the Fractal unit could be just as easy as it is deep and I convinced myself I didn't need to "master" the damn thing, just so long as it was capable of delivering great tones and effects with a few handy ways to connect to my DAW I was in. I'm a...

Welcome to today's episode of Tim Henson on Guitar

Aint nuthin' wrong with that clip! ^^^ I hope you saved that Ibanez banner?! That fucker would be hanging in my home studio or garage at least (I think they still make fine guitars, don't care what anyone says).
