I posted a WIP clip of this a couple weeks ago and nearly managed to screw it all up with some Cubase project folder deleting, etc...but over the last few days I was able to rescue and finish it, thought I'd share.
FWIW, the rhythm guitars are double tracked through a Smallbox + G12H30 cab and...
Thought I'd post up a clip of my Ecstasy doing some instrumental lead work...I LOVE this AMP...I'm getting some of, if not the best tones I've ever had these days.
EDIT: Full tune added

This week I became a first time, and most likely single Suhr guitar owner (the only way I could afford another Suhr would be if I sold this one lol)...so I made it count as it's exactly what I was looking for. I wish I had a better/real camera, in person this "bengal burst" color is really more...
I had a chance to grab an extremely clean, little used 2013 Bogner 101B (w/EL34s) and I couldn't say no. I've heard many clips and such over the years and always loved it but never pulled the trigger. I even grabbed the red pedal when they launched and dug that fwiw but now had a chance to nab...
Not so much a challenge, really just a light hearted (this place gets fuckin nasty sometimes over gear choices, heh) side by side comparison of the BE pedal through a Friedman clean channel (the SmallBox) and the BE channel of the SmallBox itself. Same guitar, mic/speaker, etc for both sides...
Luvin' the pedal, think it's the real deal!
I just tossed together a simple short video for easier sharing (been putting up clips in the main forum along with a few other lucky new owners).
FWIW or for those that don't visit the main board daily...this clip is the SmallBox on the plexi...
Yeah, yeah, the gushfest is in full effect lol. Had the pedal for a few days now, really like it - it delivers the goods. The pedal turns the SB clean/plexi channel into a lead channel, HBE style (though I've never personally played a BE100).
I layed out some chords from the SB as clean as I...
Posted this in the main area but thought I'd toss it up here as well. I just finished up this new original guitar track using the SmallBox exclusively, very happy with the results! This amp is perfect. A homerun for Friedman...hope he can't make them fast enough due to demand.

I just put the finish (I hope) on this original jam (much in the style of MacAlpine, a long tome fav), wanted to share it here. All the guitars (Charvels and Prestige Ibanez) were tracked with the Friedman SB and a couple different vintage Marshall cabs (blackback 55hz for the rhythm, greenbacks...
Thought I'd post this here too since i guess there is technically a lot of Smallbox content. All the rhythm, clean and crunch (as well as a couple of the harmony/doubled lead parts) is the Friedman (the SLO handled the lead stuff). I'm still very much loving this friggin amp!!

Just finished making this video. Not truly a "new" tune, actually a cover version of an old pop song. I used my Smallbox on all the rhythms and the SLO (stock) for all the leads. Hope the people who grew up in the MTV 80's era (like me ;) ) enjoy it most! ;)

Wanted to toss up a quick clip of the SmallBox and Timmy pedal pushing the BE channel just a bit. Those killer clips from yngzaklynch and his SAT modded Friedman had raised a few questions about getting that level of gain from a stock SmallBox with a boost. So for those that were curious...
Messing around with the classic early 80's tune.
edit for gear: Friedman SmallBox on rhythms, SLO on leads. Used several different guitars fwiw (Charvel w/Super Distortion on crunch rhythms, Fender Strat on clean rhythms, Prestige Ibanez and Charvel Custom Shop on leads).

Morning gents! I just finished up this new tune, wanted to share it here, lots of Rig-Talk friendly gear used in this one  Charvels, Prestige/Ibanez, Soldano SLO, Friedman (the solo), etc.
Thanks for checking it out!

I picked up a brand spanking new Smallbox 50 this weekend and Christ is it incred!! Here's some pics and my first clip.
For some reason, maybe familiarity or just an easy way to begin learning a new amp, but I always tend to shoot for the VH tone thing first for shits and grins.

Sifting through the local to me GC used gear pages. This is currently at the Atlanta store, listed as a "One Off for NAMM 1987." Pretty cool vibe to it if you like that era.
Couldn't copy the link straight to the guitar so I just nabbed the photo and upped it to my bucket...
Kind of a sample/clip of a tune I'm finishing up, messing around with video ideas...usually I just float around images to the tune or set up a cam and play, etc, but for this I tracked down some video footage that sorta fits, so hopefully since it's basically a 'feel good' type shredy tune, the...
I was fooling around last week with this, not really my thing, trying to nail other tones, etc, but it is fun joining in the VH tone games when they pop up on boards once in a while lol! The playing could be better but fwiw, I thought this came out close enuff for shits and giggles.

Sometimes I remember to stop screwing around with all the gear and sit down and write/record music. It's pretty rewarding lol. Does take a little courage posting your muzak here though as there are some stud players around. I tried to keep the video pretty simple/raw to fit the earthy vibe of...
Thinking of picking up this live in Tokyo show (MacAlpine fan), looking for thoughts on the performances, Blu Ray pic/audio quality, etc.
