    Ceriatone models

He's made one for a client, but never took clips of that sadly. But I modded my Smallbox with bright caps on the BE channel and and that helped a bit. And I saw that cragginshrd has a modded BE Deluxe whose biggest change towards a more rawer sound is, like, an additional 2 resistors. So I...

A big theme with these amps (although I still really like them). I know a guy who also builds Marshall/Fender/whatever clones and he mods his Friedman BE clones to sound less smooth and "pre-recorded" Might ask him how just for the info next time I talk to him.

    Avatar No Longer Sells 4x12's?

I don't gig anymore, but as a small 5'6 guy, I would prefer the 4x12 because that would be two trips for me regardless :ROFLMAO: Go big or go home lol Although in all fairness I've never owned a 212 with sth like a center handle I can hold.

    NAD Marshall sv20h

Well, a 20W amp should only be around 7dBs quieter than the 100W version when fully cranked lol (of course we know that 100W Marshalls aren't really 100W, but still)

Well, you pay for a Molecular and you'll actually get one in a reasonably timely manner, so I guess "not very"

    Avatar No Longer Sells 4x12's?

That sucks to hear I mean it's to be expected since 4x12s take up a lot of space, but still.

    Avatar No Longer Sells 4x12's?

Same. I had an Avatar 2x12, sold it, got a Marshall 4x12 Definitely easier to push around than to carry the 2x12 around, that's for sure.

    Mosvalve as Slave for Re-Amping

So, a friend of mine has a Mosvalve he's offering to sell to me. I have no need for a poweramp, but I have a Fractal Loadbox and two very loud amps. I think I heard a while back that some people used the Mosvalve as a slave with a load box to bring levels down, kind of like what a Fryette...

    Vivian Campbell

Sounds great. I think I prefer his Anderson into Soldano Riverdogs-era tone, but his newer tones really rock.

    NAD - Friedman Smallbox 50

Update: I changed the bright cap values from 250pf and 500pf on the Plexi channel to 500pf and 4700pf, and added a brightgt switch for the BE channel with those values. The Plexi channel is about perfect now, but 4700pf is too much for the BE channel. I think I'll knock it down to 100pf and...

Give me some advice on bright cap values

Piggybacking on this Imma mod my Friedman Smallbox 50 to - 500pf - No cap - 4700pf For both the Plexi and BE channels. Whether I do that by drilling and installing another 3way or using a 6pin 3way mini switch remains to be seen.

Vintage TS9 and TS808 vs. Modern Variants

I haven't tried them all, but I've played a vintage TS9, one of those bigger ones whose model I forgot, the Maxon 808, the TS mini, and a bunch of clones... They're all more similar than they are different. If I were to A/B them without looking, I would be hard pressed to tell when somebody...
