Can anybody recommend 2 good humbucking pickups for a guitar
with basswood/maple top/maple neck/board? i currently have suhr aldrichs in them but i want more
mids/bass and thickness.
thanks
well i have a maple neck/board .. the frets are worn down and i need to get it replaced?
what are some good ones? btw do fretwire change the tone of the guitar?
i been gassing for a fender stratocaster for awhile.
But i play 80's shred aka nuno, lynch, dokken, vito, evh
which wood should i go with ash or alder for 80's shred?
i am eyeing right now the 57 hot rod fender strat with the tone zone bridge.
thanks
I am saving for the ultra... in the mean time. which do you think would be a good substitute for the axe fx?
the digitech gsp rp1000/gsp 1101 or the eleventh rack?
i like the tone of the gsp1101 but i need something compact and easier to use.
Would the digitech rp355 give me the same tones as the gsp1101? any one tried the rp355? how is it for using through PA systems for live use?
thanks
I have 4 choices. Which would be the best for amplifying axe fx and also for multimedia use(watch movies/play games/listen to music)?
i have a small apartment.
1)M-audio bx5a deluxe monitors
2)M-audio av40 speakers
3)KRK Rokit 5/Rokit 6 monitors
4)audio engine a5 speakers
which would be the...
i have two Andersons and a Suhr Modern.

cheap.. i just ordered one. i am thinking about modding it w/new pickups etc.
Which humbucker would you guys recommend?
i know many people prefer to get their distortion/gain from the amp.
but if we didn't have our recto/5150/ bogners/splawn/friedman marsha etc.
which distortion pedal in front of a clean sound would you use as your main tone for 80's shred/metal?
What is your favorite body wood combo? for what music and why?
i think for me.. alder+ maple neck/maple board would be good for clean
and basswood/maple top + maple neck/maple board would be good for shred/distorted
how about you guys?
Does anybody know what's the secret to Motley crue's Mick Mars
and ex Ozzy Joe Holmes massive/thick guitar sound? both of them use Fender strats w/maple necks but they obviously don't sound like typical strats. I am interested in how these two guys get their heavy tones from fender strats.
i need some advice. i have a suhr modern thats basswood/maple top/maple board/floyd combo.
i am tempted to switch out the Aldrichs on my guitar for SSH+/SSV? is it worth it?
