Probably the best guitarist Ozzy worked with other than Tony. I lived in Las Vegas a few years ago. Great place if you like magic acts and dance shows.

    Calling all wah pedal fanatics!!

The 535q and DB01B fit me best. Definitely picking up a other Crybaby from Hell. Currently have 5 wah here. Lost count of how many I have owned. Wah is by far my favorite effect. Always has been. I kind of want a 535 no q again also. Your right. They are all just wah pedals. But less expensive...

    Calling all wah pedal fanatics!!

The center is definitely not zero. All at noon is extremely bass heavy. 100, 200, 3200 hertz sound best just about off. I thought the same about the controls being on the outside. There is 8 of them. Put them on the outside and they would probably get bumped too often with some individuals. The...

Mesa/Boogie MarkIIC+ at the time of its release?

I bought a Mark IIB, IIC, III red stripe and Mark IVA all new when they came out. I still have the IV. We were all scooping the midrange years before Metallica Master of Puppets. I think it was 1981 I bought the IIB.

The Dunlop Rack Wah controls over: -Wah sweep frequency range - selectable 6 positions - Variable Q control determines the wah's bandpass shape - Output boost level up to +10dB - Selectable (Post Wah Circuit) 6-band EQ with each EQ band knob delivering +/-15 dB The John Petrucci JP95 Wah has -...

    Calling all wah pedal fanatics!!

The JD95 is basically a simpler version of the rackmount Crybaby. A few reviews said it sounded better than the rackmount. The EQ being trim pots inside the pedal makes it fairly difficult to adjust and listen to it at the same time.

    Calling all wah pedal fanatics!!

Stock JP setting seems like about 20 dB's of boost. With the amp overdrive it was fine. With clean it was harsh distortion with the couple amps I tried. I believe the six band EQ is after the wah. With +/- 18 dB's on each band it's easy to get extreme fast. Seems flat it has a bass heavy wah.

    NAD: VHT Sig:X

Sig X is the amp I use the most since it came out in 2008. Congratulations

Old People: How did you feel about the JCM800 at the time of its release?

Rarely. As soon as you add a boost or overdrive it becomes a different type of sound and is less touch responsive. Typically I use more like a effect than the main sound.

    Calling all wah pedal fanatics!!

Friend of mine gave me a new 535q 9 volt a few weeks ago he got in a trade. He didn't like it. Anyway I hooked up the 535q, CAE MC404 and JP95 so I could directly compare them. The JP95 volume is + 6dB. Each of the six EQ bands is + or - 18dB. Pulling back the volume and EQ bands I was able...

    Calling all wah pedal fanatics!!

Finally picked up the JP95 yesterday. Sounds good with the amp overdrive. Clean amp it is kind of harsh. I messed around some with the internal trim pots. Lowered the volume a bit. Do you have any advice on setting the internal trim pots ???

Zachman man called me up a few times around 2007. He kept mistaking me for Pete Thorn. It's a common mistake a lot of people make.

What Marshall amp sounds like a Marshall?

Marshall sounds like the vowel E. Hiwatt and Fender sound like the vowel A. For me the sounds I think of as "Marshall" is the NMV and single channel amps with a master. Everything after that is less the sound I associate with Marshall.

    Boss md-500?

I'm putting together a board with a ES-8, DD-500, MD-500 and DM-101. A work in progress. If you want a wide range and a lot of control it hard to beat the Boss 500 series. I see Fractal is putting out a effects only unit. Details released next week.

Best clean on a high gainer ?

Sig X cleans are what I use the most. Unusually versatile since all three channels do clean. The overdrive on the clean channel rivals my NMV amps. Can do that Hiwatt clean via KT88 girth and punch.

Best clean on a high gainer ?

Mesa Heartbreaker Cleans are better than the Fender Twins I have owned. One channel is Blackface. The other channel is JTM.

    Boss md-500?

I have the MD-500 and DD-500. Extremely versatile and sounds good. I usually use analog. But am keeping the MD-500.
