    My old chuggs

One of the songs my band does I wrote in 1978. We also do songs I wrote 2 weeks ago. A lot of the stuff we do I wrote between 1989 and 2004. My policy is I can use or steal anything I want. Everything by the entire band is improvised all night. The Bass player being a touring stand-up comedian...

    Mezzabarba Even Drive

I would buy a used full amp first. The MZero is a very nice amp.

Lickliter XD20… some solid rock tones

It's done with filtering rolling off highs and lows at the beginning of the amp usually.

EL84 is a much looser bass response. But probably the best harmonics of any power tube.

Is this typical Gibson now or was their shenanigans from the guy I bought this from?

I never care who made the guitar. My list is really short. Does it sound good ? I usually play hundreds before I find one I like the sound of it unplugged. Is it functional. That's all of it.

    PNW amp fest idea?

So do we have enough people interested and place to do it ?? Seems DOA. Thread got more bumps from people that have never been to Seattle or Portland. Other than the imaginary world of the internet.

I definitely need to play a guitar before I buy it. I'm too subjective to do it any other way.

6V6 has more bass in the tonal balance than a 6L6. Nice harmonics when overdriven. EL84 and 6V6 amps are capable of more volume than I ever need. I usually attenuate them playing with the band. Video sounds good as usual.

    Nothing really phases me…

I have a 45 clone. The 90 just feels like home. My 100 needs repairs. If you ask me it doesn't sound like either of the other two.

Old People: How did you feel about the JCM800 at the time of its release?

Yes We played a lot louder back then. I was using a Tom Scholz Power Soak and RAT. Master at about half is how most people used them.

    PNW amp fest idea?

It was The Gear Page. There was no chugging other than beer.

    PNW amp fest idea?

This idea comes up occasionally. Last one I went to was in Tampa.

Bruce Egnater said FACK YA FEELINGS Randall Smith fanbois 💀

I agree. More post about WWF moments and guitarist is what we need. Dave Navarro is a good example. Anyone punch Dave Mustaine lately ?

    Gibson 498T or Dirty Fingers?

The 498 is kind of like a JB but less output, less pronounce midrange hump and less bass cut. I have a 498T and 490R in the guitar I use the most these days with the band. I just didn't like the rawness of the DF.....and I love the SD Distortion and 500T. The DF made me want to play country...

My friend Tom gave Ed a black eye. Jerry Cantrell was there. Apparently Ed said something Tom didn't like.

    PNW amp fest idea?

If it happens in the Seattle / Tacoma area I know a few people that would probably come. Even if only a half dozen show up these can be interesting. @DanTravis62 has a few amps I want to try out.
