They're great amps after you put in good tubes and bias warmer. Ditch the Chinese 6L6's and put in JJ's and bias to 36mA, (they're cold stock, like 28-32mA).
Yep. He's definitely part of the band. He played last time i went. Al Pitrelli tore it up too. Jeff Scott Soto did a lot of vocals at that show. Several chicks that had beautiful voices as well.
It was in Tampa, so John Oliva was there. They did some Savatage songs. Man did he get fat. He...
I wouldn't discount the 6505MH if you want small. Very inexpensive. Shit, if you're looking used, an EVH 50 watt 6L6 is one of the best for lower volume. I prefer the Stealth though.
But I really love my Fireball 25. I have the Limited Edition KT77 model. It's a little beast, and I've held onto...
I'm zeroing in on an American Professional II that the guy swapped the pickguard in and put in a '59/JB HH. He's asking $1099. It's mint with upgraded Locking Tuners as well. If the JB is too tubby, I have an TB-5..
PayPal is asking for it too. I keep getting reminded to update my personal info, (after 20 years, mind you). They want a scanned photo ID, and a pic of your face! No shit!
I sent them one..
I'm looking at picking one of these up.. Should I expect crappy stock pickups? I hate going down that rabbit hole.. There's the expense of a case to consider, and I don't want to have to spend another $200 on pickups, you just get into Prestige money.. But I hate the Tone Zone in those, so...
Considering an HX Stomp XL and using it for headphones and multi FX with my amp. The HX Stomp would do, but I want the extra footswitches for amp use. I do need a new FX unit.
Overkill, and too complicated. I've actually considered the FM3 to double as a multiFX unit, but they're too complicated with their deep editing and I hate things that I have to tweak via computer. And tweak. And tweak, and tweak.
Aside for computers/plug-ins, what's a good smaller device with great tones, (high gains primarily, but cleans as well), simple, great sounding basic modulation, reverb, etc... What say you?
Thought about an HX stomp, but it's overkill, really, and the price is decent for other applications...
But not for those that take a threaded hex bushing, correct? I have Revolutions and one went bad. Can't find a single tuner, WD owns the Kluson brand and they won't return phone calls and their email link is dead.. They used to sell them in singles. I don't want to buy a whole set to replace one...
