I've been an amp owner for 35 years. An IT guy for 22.
Seen caps pop in motherboards, seen tubes go super-blue and blow at gigs. Seen guitar players spend hundreds on Furman power conditioners that were essentially UPS.
Shit breaks y'all.
If this thing was actually EVH owned...that's like +4000 rig-talk points. Buy it!
As for me... I love the fat zebra and the pointy. Love the squared-off fretboard. The kahler is a fuck-no. The $8.5k is a haha, you are stupid.
Old Charvels are cool as fuck. But they are not fucking...
What's the problem guys?
Just get a sMaLL LOaN oF A mILLiOn DOllErs from your dad, then defraud banks, and insurance companies, never pay your bills, and then become president.
$700 total income tax bill for the year.
Simple.
I've been through several Warmoth builds. Everyone here is right. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's shit. And it's tough to predict.
I think Warmoth is getting way overpriced especially in the bodies. If you don't care about the beauty of the wood and finish, I'd do something much...
I have a DT1-Pro that I bought in 1993. Never a problem. It's on right now. Nobody needs a 6 input tuner anymore.
My bud's DTR-2 is 20 years old. No issues there either. I don't love the silver.
If I was in your situation, I would spend that money on something cool like a nice...
So in your DAW. if you are using different tracks for the different cab IRs...you can nudge one around in time by some small number of milliseconds and drastically affect 'phase'.
Send a transient through both cabs/tracks and you can visually align them. Though this might not necessarily...
Been using a TD-10 based Roland kit for a decade.
We just trigger Slate drums with it. Now we even run real cymbals. I prefer doing it all Slate but drummers are picky and dim.
Recently replaced a peizo element in one of the kick triggers. Replaced the battery in the brain. Some of the...
I never understood the EVH sound until I cranked a plexi. Then it was obvious.
The playing and control is the next and difficult step. Spend your formative years becoming a groove motherfucker. It's easy! /s
I had one of these. I don't know squat about the current market value...
But if you're in a position to play loud, these amps are beastly.
Good luck with the sale.
Yeah, OLA is an enigma and all...and he can make a can-opener sound like OLA. But I watched that vid in my mix position and thought it was damn close.
Leon Todd is a bad man btw. I love that he's a turd like the rest of us at RT and is successful at it. He's Mark Day's child.
Yeah, I had no idea Floyd Rose sold them direct now. LOL. I see their selection and how it's all sold out.
The brass knobs are way cool. I'm a fan of OFR in a big way. I have 4 guitars with the 1000 and a couple with 80s Floyds. They all seem to wear the same, and have the same problems...
