There’s a schem here. It’s the Larry guess at what the mod could be from what I gather. Sounds great though, if your going for slash tones though it’s probably not the best move. From what I know it’s still a bit of a mystery as to what he used and who’s mod was in the amp during that time.
I have a faber for no other real reason than they use e clips instead of retaining wire. They’re not life changing but it’s nice to have a bridge with saddles that don’t wiggle. Also the coating seems to be better than stock, my sweat eats bridge finishes and the faber holds up way better...
Shoutout @stephen sawall for this.

Yup your hitting the grid on a tube way to hard. Either need to bump up the grid resistor values or voltage div values.
Sounds like a good excuse to buy a scope though lol.
Hmm… interest rates are up and PayPal wants to keep my money for nearly a month? Sounds like someone wants an interest free loan under the guise of “security”
If they sold 2203 and 1959x’s for 2400-2600 and modded options like sir#39/ Jose clones for 2700-2900 they’d be in a lot better spot. I bet most people would put aside their pride regarding country of origin at that price point.
Nobody’s looking at Marshall to innovate, just make an 800 for...
You may find it elementary with your background but I like the uncle Doug stuff on YouTube. I found the limited amount of books I’ve read on the subject to be way too theory based and technical, maybe to my detriment.
You’ll pick it up fast, for the most part tubes are signal in through the...
Not to knock techs but that’s an offensive price. It’s maybe 2 hrs of work unless the tranny bolts are under the board.
Next time if you buy the tools to do the tubes ($100ish) Il walk you through how to do it over the phone, as would a lot of people here I imagine.
I hate PRS’s because the ones I’ve played play better than my les Paul’s and charvel. In my limited experience I think they’re necks and fretboards make them stand out. Haven’t played one through my amps so I can’t comment on tone. Only reason I don’t have one is I think they look goofy.
Not exactly sure what all troubleshooting you have done but this is what I have done.
First check your signal path with the meter on continuity. From the pickup out to pot in, then pot out, to selector switch, to jack (or however you have it wired)
Then check every ground, might also be good...
