Actually I have had a few Squire versions as well, and, no BS: they were more comfy than the guitars that cost 10x as much! ( *-once I replaced the nut, did fret job, glued loose frets, and set it up)

Badlander is sorta a cross up of a modded 2203 and recto. The reissue is fairly costly, the Badlander can be had for less. Try em if possible, see if they scratch that itch.
