I think it has nothing to do with the mk3 amp, and rather the third revision of recto transformers? I could be wrong though

The image I attached from rectifier guide refers to them as mark iii- and earlier rev fs definitely are known to sound better

Hermanssons to me are the most fun amps to play- it feels like other amps have a delay comparatively. They have excellent cleans and leads as well, and clips don’t do them justice

Fractal holds up against the best digital effects for sure. That being said, a used fm3 will be way cheaper than a vp4, and will have way more options,flexibility, and also amps

They sound almost exactly like Rev f, just like how the 2c+ reissue is super accurate. Would I pay that price? No, but I think the price isn’t terrible given the prices of comparatively good amps.

I mean, I don’t think he is a particularly good guitarist, but Green Day songs have had widespread success on a level large enough that there would definitely be an audience. I also don’t know if you’ve heard clips of the dookie mod, but it does sound really good for sure

It’s speculated that one is the dookie mod made for Billie Armstrong of green day

I’ll be at namm all 3 days and I’ll record as much as I can, but don’t expect high audio quality- you can’t play amps loud and there’s a lot of background noise

For what it’s worth, reissues don’t sound as good when modded- there’s something about the originals that transfers to the modded ones
