So should I be running the fan at all if I'm justing using it for an hour or so for studio work?

New to the forums, and new to owning a shiva. Did some research to find out more about what I got and it seems to be a true first year standard run (with the fan and line-level effects loop). I had to serviced to clean it up after receiving it, but I have never seen an amp with a fan before...
