Same here - going on ten years since I quit smoking this month. I didn't even intend on quitting, just found the right juice and two days not smoking turned into two weeks which was kind of surreal and I never once craved a cigarette or missed them.

Yup , I never ever craved a cigarette after finding the right vape . Some people try over the counter cigalikes and find out that they don't cut it for many people and go back to smoking .

My health got much much better after quitting .

Diketones aren’t just something that is used in e-liquid, it is something that is found in the general flavoring industry. This is because it is used as an additive for buttery flavorings and creamy flavorings in food as well as in e-juice. Diketones are actually required by law to be tested for in food however it is not required by law to be tested in inhalation products. This is why many of you who vape find it difficult to find concrete information as to whether some e-liquids are diketone free. Diketones isn’t just one chemical however, it is the term used for a group of chemicals. The chemicals that are known as diketones are diacetyl, acetyl propionyl and acetoin. However it is known that acetyl propionyl and acetoin can sometimes also contain traces of diacetyl.​

 
I should make it clear that there is no evidence that diketones have caused any issues with vapors . That whole popcorn lung thing was about factory workers in a popcorn factory inhaling massive amounts of diacetyl which would be far more than typical vapors would ever inhale but diketones are still something that I prefer to avoid because vaping hasn't been around long enough to know for sure if there are any long term effects .
 
I haven't bought commercial juice in many years. I have tons and tons of flavors and recipes I've gathered over the years and mix my own . The overwhelming majority of commercial juices will definitely have diketones in them . A juice manufacturer knows they can't compete with other juice manufacturers if they limit themselves to diketone free flavors .

Before the whole vaping industry was crippled by the government there were endless companies making juices and many offered great tasting juices without diketones but those days are long gone. Vape gear was everywhere before the government got involved now you're lucky to find only a very select few companies selling mods , tanks etc.. online and willing to ship it to you.

I don't think you can even buy nicotine anymore but I haven't looked lately . There was a deadline to where the entire vaping community loaded up on everything before regulations killed it but that was a few years back.
