If that means the opposite of you, I totally agree.

My point is there is a modern contingent of so called adults who think kids under the age of, say 8, are capable of deciding what gender they want to be. I guarantee you there are tons of little kids at gay pride parades.

Here's a different sort of story. Two years ago a gay couple moved into the building next us.
Small little community so everyone gets to see everything and also gets to know whomever they
choose to. Each building is 4 units of approx. 1000 sq.

They're black. One looks like a long dreadlocked NFL linebacker (who sounds gayer than all hell when talking).
The other is slender and obviously going thru transitional surgery. He sounds 'normal' Best guess both older 30s.
They have an adopted black son who'd I'd guess is 8 now who they got as a baby. They also got some bucks for sure.

So I assume your first impression is similar to that of some of my neighbors, especially the ones who had young kids.
Being the wicked liberal that I am I treated them no different than I would if they were June and Ward.

Over the course of two years they've become friends with everyone and their kid is always outside running around
with the other kids. Blinders on to everything else, two just flat out nice folks who love their kid to death and rival
my daughter and SIL when it comes to parenting, based on what I see and just how awesome the kid is.

Don't judge a book...... and all that sort of cliched shit.
I''m always going to look at things positively unless I know for a FACT otherwise.

Ya, but you do it well.

I can't think about the Berkshires without Dirty Dancing also coming to mind for some reason.
We’ve gone from backwoods to full on yuppie. Our town passed a law about having bird feeders because the weekenders are afraid of bears

Your first impression is wrong. I have a few gay friends. My dad's brother is gay and my deceased younger brother was gay. I have nothing against gay people and don't think they're any more prone to dereliction or salacious behavior than anyone else. I have some conservative friends who are convinced it's a lifestyle choice. Mostly Christians. They are wrong. My brother explained it to me shortly after he went through puberty and considering the life he had to lead there isn't a chance in hell he chose to be gay. I told my Christian friends if god didn't make homosexuals there wouldn't be any. In fact my wife and I have some friends named Mark and James. They were together for a couple decades. They grew up and remained friends with a lot of the people out here that ended up dopers, but they never were. They were all still friends though. James died last year. I think he had a heart attack.

Anyway, I don't give a shit who people love. I also don't care what drugs they do or if they want to have abortions. It's not my business. I am however not cool with people trying to influence kids to be gender fluid or trans or anything else. Like everyone else in history they can figure that shit out when they hit puberty. Taking a little boy and dressing him up like a girl because you think it's cute and it makes your other gay friends happy is child abuse. It's also a good way to get the kid's ass beat a lot in school and generally make life hard on him, possibly for no reason when it turns out the kid, like 99% of the population, is actually heterosexual.

What about people who listen to "Baby Metal" ?
That's way over the line.

Come to think of it I have a good friend who was a marine. I almost enlisted with him. He was in for 12 years and spent a few years in Okinawa. He likes baby metal. He also used to send me pictures of Japanese whores he was banging. He also was an armorer and somehow I am tasked with fixing all his shitty guns when he fucks them up.

That just makes you a decent person. And I couldn't agree more.

There's plenty of really fucked up straight parents, just as there are LBGTQ ones is the main point here for me.

US population is 330,000,000 - that's a LOT of all types of people.

Straight parent, queer parent, I could care less. You earn or lose respect on your own merits.

I think there's just WAY TOO MUCH pre-judgement and assumptions going on simply starting
with gay and not looking any further. Not saying you - but in general around these parts.

I wanted to record some BabyMetal riffs but I need to start practicing again lol. It’s way harder than the classic rock horseshit I normally play
