Can anyone tell what year this amp was built 002/405 Diezel Einstein 50 w head.

By the way it sounds AWESOME. the master volume is amazing!!! best I've seen ever. period. I am selling my JCM 800 on thursday, no regrets.

Channel 1 mode 2 nails it better than the Marshall, and really can do everything. I mostly play in this channel, from clean to hard rock

Mode 3 is beyond cool high gain heaven...

The amp was delivered on April 4th, 2010 to Diezel UK

Hahaha I love the pic simply for the fact that the marshall has been demoted to the table. I loves me some chan 1 mode 2. I spend 90% of my time there. Mode 3 is bliss as well. Enjoy your new Einey. It truly is an amazing amp. :)

What kind of guitar/p'ups are you running thru that bad boy?

My Marshall has been demoted to a completely different room :D

Congrats Nico, I told you that you'd love the Einy.

Congrats Nico on your new amp!

Peter if you read this could you please have a look on your database and give me some info (month/year) on my Einstein 002/272 ?

Thanks.

Thanks a lot everybody. Yes the Marshall has been moved to the table, and has already been sold.
Diezel is so much more amp. No hype. Believe what you read, I was amazed when I saw the amp in person, the construction, the workmanship. Seriously a great piece of gear. Congratulations Peter Diezel and his peers.

Looking forward to the Diezel cab, but first I have to go to Europe. Since they don't have them in Argentina.

Regarding guitars and pups:

Gibson LP Slash Goldtop - Seymour Duncan Alnico II pro
Gibson LP Classic - Bare Knuckle Mules
Epiphone Zakk Wylde - EMG 81 & 85 (18V mod)
Ibanez RX - Seymour Duncan JB / Jazz
Ibanez GIO - Di Marzio Tonezone / Paf Pro.

Question: since I noticed we like similar tones. How does the Seymour Duncan Alcino II compare to the bare knuckle on channel 1 modes 2 and 3? I'm looking more for chunky rhythm tones over lead tones. I have a few LPs and I use Duncan sh4 and sh6. They're close but I know the right pups will bring out more of what I'm after.

Thanks!

BTW I was cheering for your country in the cup!

Oh and what cab are you thinking of going with? I could be wrong but I think I remember Olaf saying Peter uses the diezel Front loaded v30 cabs as his reference when he's creating the heads.

Germany! I said Germany!! hahaha I really enjoyed all of the games... My country lost quick I really thought Argentina was gonna put on a show. Paul the octopus was fun to follow. Peter I think you need to find a way for him to always pick Germany for you guys to win them all!!

Slyvren:

I think both pickups are really good. The mules are typical paf pickups, I replaced the stock, caps, pots. But they do the hard rock sounds really good. Especially with an amp like the Einstein which has so much gain on tap.

The clean sounds from that pup are fantastic, and they sound beautiful on channel 1 mode 2. On channel 3 the sound really good as well, very articulate, every note can be heard, they don't stay so tight if you play a lot of heavy palm muted riffs, as other pups do.

Alnico II pro, have a tad more raunch in them, not that much, they nail the GNR sound basically, I love that sound by the way.

I don't know if you have tried an EMG equipped guitar with the Einstein but I must say it sounds the best for the hard rock heavy sounds. And if you get them done with the 18v mod they even sound good clean
I don't like nu metal, or downtuning stuff. And im not a big active pickup fan either, but I must say the sound reaaaally good with the Einstein at least, not with all amps.

If you must buy a do it all pickup for your LP for clean to Hard Rock, I'd get Bare Knuckle Rebel Yell or WCR's American Steele.

From the ones that I have, for those sounds (hard rock - heavy metal) I like the EMG's they scream!
