I have question and may be you guys can help.
I owe Mesa Raod King and the loop on it is perfect. No sound coloration when running just a short cable in the loop. In my 101B when loop is engaged it sounds like I added a phaser fx.
Both series and parallel loops have it. Even if the amp volume is all the way down i can hear some ''high eq version'' of the sound i have set up. I think it mixes with the sound I set up with the volume up and that is how I get this coloration. How is loop on your amp? can you put only cable in loop, (volume down or up) and see if you have tone change ''phaser thing going on''? Any suggestions?

Thanks
J

I will have a look. It may be low distortion balanced JJ tube if I remember. I have change that and problem is still there. You mean V4 loop spot?
Thanks.

Yes, I stand corrected… LOL
V4...
V5 is the phase inverter… It's actually kind of funny considering how many times I've rolled different tubes in and out of my Bogners…
Guess I'm getting old

Hey. I had the same exact problem.

The solution for me was the individual channel volumes. They *must* be above 9 o clock. Preferably at 11 or noon.

If you ride the channel volume knob from 0 to noon, you should be able to hear the phasing disappear at some point on the sweep.
