I think its a great sound you got there
thats interesting there is no eq .I have a MKIIc+ simul class DRGX fully loaded and most of the time I use it with the GEQ switched off
I also had a non GEQ 60 watt MKIIC+ no which I sold like a dickhead cos I thought an eq version would sound better but I was wrong
what cab a speakers are you using

Ive tried a boss eq in loop and I can see why someone would like that scooped sound for types of metal but also didnt sound as natural. Its a very midrangy amp so I couldnt see adding mids. In a live setting you need those mids. In that clip which is lower gain Im using MS12 150 watt eminence in metal grill closed back straight cab from 1981 which is a little deeper than the later metal grill cabs. I also have a later slant metal grill and I added a panel in back to make closed back. That cab has carvin labeled ps12 300 watt eminence made speakers which sound very similar. I think the MS12 sound the best with this amp. There are so many ways to set up the controls and I just started putting lead drive on 10 first then dialing in rest and then get clean sound after. Im liking the results. I do want a export 100 head now for travel as this head is a little to big.

My MKIIC+ has the export Mains tranny.
the export transformer definitely has a different sound to the usa transformer and the export version amp seems to get better harmonics at lower volume and most noticable is the playing feel is different with the export tranny the export versions just seem less aggressive and squashier.
on the boogie forum a lot of people tout the export mains tranny as the be all end all but I can well imagine some people would prefer the usa versions Mains tranny when making an actual comparison but that being said I will not be selling mine anytime soon

I love the MS 12 speakers , that is a VERY cool cab to have

I mainly want the export for travel to different countries. If they sound better that's a bonus!

I forgot to mention the export transformer weighs a bloody ton by comparison its a huge monster piece of iron

The coliseum iron looks like an its from an SVT! What kind of tubes are you running? I have sylvania str 387. On of them was missing guide pin kind of loose and intermittant so I thew a cheap sovtek in that slot somehow it sounds better like it added a tiny bit more crunch.

I am currently using four Sylvania 6l6GC they are the Mesa label STR415
but I also have some STR416 which are Mesa label 6ca7 which are el34 equivalents and sometimes I run the amp with two STR415 in the two inside slots and two STR416 in the outside slots . the amp sounds good both ways
I also really like winged c with the amp but it is very tricky to find tubes that fall within the current draw range that the amp requires in the UK

I want to mention something just in case you do not already know... as your amp is a simul class you can run el34 in certain slots BUT if you run any el34 other than sylvania 6ca7 then you most likely need a small modification done to the tube sockets for the amp to run safely.

that is because pins 1-8 on a sylvania 6ca7/el34 are internally connected BUT that is not the case on ANY other el34 so if you run an el34 other than sylvania 6ca7 and pins 1-8 are not modified and then the tube shorts out you can end up seriously damaging the amp as in cooked transformer type damage.
this is definitely the case with my simul class and I believe it is the case with the simul coli as well
the safest bet is to stick with sylvania 6ca7 if you must run el34 and then the mod is not required

I have some 6CA7's but Im still not sure if my C+ is simul. Ive read yes and no. It doesnt say simul or have switch. How much does your short export head weigh in pounds?

sorry for some reason I had it in my head that your coli was a simul
My Boogie is a combo right now so I am not sure what it would weigh as a head
I am looking to put it into a headshell at some point but I need to find one first
