For your consideration...
I have a 1988 Gibson Les Paul Showcase Edition done up in beautiful Silverburst finish. The showcase edition guitars originally came with EMGs and black hardware. The EMGs were swapped out for Seymour Duncan 59 bridge and Jazz neck. CTS 500k pots with orange drop caps. The original EMGs and pots are included in the sale. ALL the original black hardware is also included in the sale! Original Gibson protector case and Certificate of Authenticity also included in the sale.
This LP has been played but still in good condition for being 33 years old. The biggest and most obvious boo-boo is the hanger marks on either side of the bottom of the headstock...from the old non nitro friendly guitar hangers. Also some natural play/finish wear on the back of the neck. There are scattered dings and light scratches...but the finish maintains its glossy goodness. THERE ARE NO BREAKS OR REPAIRS. The nut was replaced by the previous owner....its not the best work I've ever seen, but it works well and hold tune great.
The neck is a medium/slim carve. Ebony fretboard with traps. Original frets which have lots of life left. Truss rod responds perfectly in both directions. It weighs 10 lbs.
This baby plays and sounds incredible! Wonderful warm, rich tone!!! This Les Paul just feels right...a total rock/blues machine!
