I have a really cool Heritage from the Golden Age of the Heritage Guitar Co. The H170 was one of the first solid body guitars they made from the beginning of the company's history!
The H170 features...
Double Cut design, for great upper register access
Carved, Bound flame maple top
Honduran mahogany body and neck
Indian rosewood fretboard
Heritage case (one broken latch)
There are a couple of upgrades that have been made to this 170. First off, the original Grover tuners were changed to locking Grovers. The stock Schaller pickups were upgraded to Van Zant PAFs. The Schaller bridge and tailpiece were changed to locking lightweight bridge and standard Nashville style tailpiece.
This 170 shows some honest playwear. There are NO CRACKS, NO BREAKS, NO REPAIRS. There are multiple dings and scratches. Buckle rash on the back. Frets do show a little rear in the cowboy chord area.
It is freshly setup with 10s. Has a great action. The neck is a medium C carve. 7lbs, 12ozs. I have it wired for 2 volumes, kill switch and a 3way toggle. This H170 plays and sounds great!!! It covers many musical styles with the VanZant pickups!
A great Kalamazoo made guitar, in a rare color, handcrafted at the historic 225 Parsons Street Factory!!
