here is my 1996 Marshall 1987x David Bray modded/rework II, plugged straight in, with a 1995 Gibson Les Paul Standard. I recorded this about 3 months ago, I just didn't want to post here because of scrutiny, so here goes

recorded on a cheap digital camera

That sounds good to me. I was going to have DB mod an amp for me a couple of years ago. I like that he keeps the amp vintage. Oh, and your playing rips brother, nice little vibrato touch there.

That sounds awesome!

I have thought about having Dave mod an amp for me for years, but have always shied away since every clip of his seems to have a farty low end. Your clip sounds relatively tight though... did you have him do anything special or is this his standard rework II?

I bought this used, and it has a pretty tight low end, I did take a picture of the circuit board and sent it to Dave, to confirm if it was one of his mods, and he replied yes, and then it was funny, because he was like, do me a favor, don't post those pictures on any forums, I had to laugh and let him know I would never do that

SOunds good to me, real good as a matter of fact

How is the feel of that amp and does it have Dave's added gain stage?

I really like this amp, it sounds good, even at bedroom levels,it is real touch responsive, and no it does not have the added gain stage

I can't speak for Daves mod Work II but the Mod one defintely has a boaty/Farty low end. That said, I just hit it a bit with a clean boost and it tightens it up and sounds killer!! Also Mod one has more gain then a stock Marshall but not oodles more, Its still relatively low/mid gain but I dig it!!!
Dave freaking rocks and he is one of the nicest guys on the planet!!!!

Killer tone & playing, I loved the growl that the amp had.
