1999 Gibson Les Paul Custom - Wine Red
Guitar is in great shape.
Just some light, normal playwear you'd expect from a 22 year old guitar.
Some small dings, light scratches, light worming on the back, and a small spot on the back next to the control cavity cover where the previous owner used something to help prey off the cover causing some blemishes.
I've owned this guitar for many years, but shortly after I purchased it I picked up a Historic R7 which has become my #1 "go to" guitar leaving this Custom with very little play time.
Though it hadn't been played much be me, it's definitely a good one.
Back when I decided to start looking for a Custom, I had two important requirements:
(#1) it had to weigh less than 9 1/2 lbs, and (#2) it had to have great tone.
Most of these Customs weighed a ton, and because of their weight had a tendency to sound dead.
It took me a long time, playing many Customs before finding it.
Weight is 9 lbs 6 oz on a digital postal scale, and the guitar is acoustically resonant with really great tone.
Frets are in great shape with minimal wear.
Since I hadn't played the guitar in a while, I just put a new set of strings on for the new owner (Curt Mangan 10/46)
And like all my guitars, the fretboard was treated twice a year with Fret Doctor (great stuff!) https://beafifer.com/boredoctor.htm
Includes OHSC
* Note that the latch part of the case lock is missing.
I purchased a brand new lock for the case, but never got around to installing it.
It will be included with the sale
