Has anyone compared these two cabs?
What are the tonal differences, and can you compare them in regards to recorded sounds and live sound for a small rig?
Thanks!

I haven't compared the two, but I have played both, and have extensive experience with the Shiva sized 112. (I own it, and have recorded and gigged with it).

I'll wait to see if anyone else chimes in on their comparison.

Are you planning on recording or playing live. I'd go with a smaller size always unless its weaker sounding if I need to play live.

For recording I wouldn't care and will play the better sounding one.

Pete Thorn uses the Cube to record and the sounds are incredible!

If I had to buy one over the other I would buy the cube and put a Scumback M75

Portability is not a concern...just going by difference in sound...both recorded and live.
I'm curious to know how they differ when loaded with the same speaker.
Thanks!

Anyone have experience with both of these? Differences in live vs. recorded performance? Thanks!

I love my cube, recorded it sounds like a 4X12 live it dosnt have the push of a 4X12 but can sound as good without the same ammount of air a 4X12 pushes.

The cube is the best 1X12 you can buy i think.

I have owned both, I still own the shiva 1-12 w/classic 80 GREAT 1-12, gig with it all the time and it is awesome, cube was OK, sounded a bit smaller and I did not care for the scritchyness of the v30, if you have to have a cube I liked the boogie oversize recto cube better than the bog but the shiva better than both.

Cool, thanks guys. I'm have a wide-body Mesa semi-open 1x12 w/ a Black Shadow that pairs up well with my Shiva head, but I'd like to get something to match.
