I know a lot of guys are going to say the Black and tan is the Egnater look .
I understand it is branding but after\seeing the Armageddon ,I think that is a pretty cool look too.

I have also seen a number of threads where the Metal guys are not loving the vintage look.
Since Armageddon has been introduced and is a whole new look ,i think it may be a cool idea to have that look available on the mod product as well.

I always thought that Randall did it well, they offered the choice.

Would be cool to see Egnater offer that option the Classic and the modern .The classic in the black and Tan as always and the modern in black tolex with a metal face of the Armageddon and black knobs .

It just seems to make sense as the whole idea is to let the customer decide .
I would not suggest this other than the fact that he look has changed on Armageddon and Vengeance as well as the talk of integrating the lines.

I don't know. I'm huge fan of the Black and Tan look. It's just classy. I think one thing that I like about it, is how unassuming it makes the amp look, and then you plug in your (insert high gain module here, for me the EG5) and melt peoples faces off with brutal high gain. Then, at the push of a button, wow them with the lush, dense cleans of your favorite clean module. I think even given the option, I would still choose the black and tan. Not to say the Armageddon doesn't look cool. It definitely does. I just prefer the (neo)classic Egnater color scheme.

I do like the black and tan ,and I know this has been debated before .
I do see both sides though. The cosmetics may not appeal to a metal guy but the tones could.
Again , before the New metal look was introduced I would not discuss this again , but now you will have the guy saying I want the modular stuff but I dig the Armageddon look.
I don't think it would be difficult .the faceplate is already the there .it would just need slightly diff dimensions and four screws through the plate.
So you have MOD50CL (the Classic/black tan) or MOD50XL (the modern look)
It is just an idea not like Egnater needs to sell more amp ..lol but it will just appeal to a different player

Or just buy another headshell from Mojo (which is where Egnater sources their headshells from) that meets your look / feel preferences ;)
