Great sound and guitar work! i particularly like the AH riffing on "Outbreak". How were the guitars recorded? What mics at what distances etc?

Definitely a lot different tone than you hear most metal VH4S's doing... I think you could of spent a lot less money and gotten something else that can do the same sound. Doesn't sound very good for a VH4 IMO. Just my 2 cents.

That`s interesting Qweklein. I`m a bit new to the Diezel sound and i`m so satisfied with my Herbert that i`m likely to like anything thats played on a Diezel. With that said i do honestly like the sound of the rhytm guitars on these songs so i`d be really interested in hearing something that`s VH4 at it`s best. Could you give me a tip? Any particular recording i should buy? :)

thanx a lot! i can't really remember, which mics we' ve used. each guitar had 3 mics i'll ask our sound engineer and will post the exact models of the mics.

i like so much the strange tempo accellerated riffs on - As cutting of a Hydra's head

great job :)

Well everyone has their own opinion on what good tone is. Listening to it again when I'm not about to pass out from sleep deprivation it doesn't sound too bad, just not my cup of tea. There is no amp "at it's best" as tone is subjective. As for recording gear, I have absolutely no idea whatsoever. I need recording gear now too, and I've never owned any in my 5 or 6 (I forget) years of playing, but now I actually to start recording some of my ideas.
