Hi Dave,

just two short questions:

- Is it possible to pull the outer power tubes on a 100 watter and use half of the cabinets impedance to reduce to 50 Watt?
- FX Loop Return: 3/4 on the return level pot is app. unity volume. Is it advisable to run the loop that way and use the front master as overall volume?

Thanks a lot and all the best
Tom

Yes on the to tubes and the impedance and yes on the loop also.

tried my el capistan in the loop that way and the pedal causes a loud pop. (fx return @3 oclock). went back to front master at 6 and return level to taste. might experiment with other pedals to see if they pop as well.

I have no issue with styrmon pedals in my loop but i own a smallbox...

it's with the fx return nearly maxed on the back. when it's low, you dont hear anything.

After you take the amp off standby wait for awhile for the loop to stablize and the pop should go away. Or put the pedal in non true bypass mode.

Thank you for the tip Mr. F.

There wasn't a need to switch the bypass mode on the el capistan.

The pop I described was indeed right after I switched on from standby, & wasn't present after a minute or two.

Cheers.
