20th Shiva clean channel EQ boost circuit?

Why do they call it the new clean channel EQ boost circuit? I mean, it boosts the gain channel as well!

I find it more usefull on the gain channel anyway for a hotter tone!

Why do they refer to it as a clean channel boost? I mostly use it on the gain channel for more saturation since I am not a fan of the Mode button.
 
Even though there is only one boost button on the foot switch the boosts are routed differently for each channel. That statement from bogner is just explaining that they chainged how the boost works on clean from the old school Shiva to the 20th.
 
Ohhhh, so there is actually a boost for both channels with one footswitch button.
 
I am not a fan of the boost on the gain channel other than maybe for a lead boost. I can't dial out the extreme bass with the bass engaged! Yikes!

In fact...I find just running it in Vintage mode you can max the gain and still have tones of clarity! Nice!
That's about all the gain I need even for Lynch and Alice in Chaines type of music. For a lead boost, a tube screamer does me. :)
