I just got my 20th Shiva and have played 2 shows with it.I have a couple questions on channel settings as I think I may have a problem. I'm running the Master Vol @ 12 o'clock and the Lead channel at 12 ish also. My Boost @ about 1 o'clock. The Clean channel at about 9 o'clock. The Clean channel sounds outstanding, I wish I could get a tad more breakup, but overall I'm pleased. The Lead channel sounds "Lifeless"....There is no bottom end thump, even with the excursion dialed up. I'm NOT using the reverb at all. There's no noises ect, just an anemic sounding lead channel. I bought the Amp from JCC here and I have no idea how much time etc is on the tubes, and when I received it the amp sounded great in my studio. In the mix the lead channel just sounds lifeless......Any thoughts??? TY

Try dropping the master to about 9:30-10:00 and lead channel to 3:00. Also try the shift and mode in and out. Set resonance at about 3/4 and see what happens. The eq is sensative so start at noon with the rest of it and adjust to taste. I also had the same feelings about the lead channel until I played with it for a while but when it came to life...WOW, it is amazing! If you play with the settings and it doesn't give up the goods there is probably a tube issue going on. Don't give up on it. Shiva 20th is possibly the most amazing amp in production today.

Do you notice this mostly in a band setting? I still haven't been able to dial mine in to use with the band. Sounds great as a practice amp by myself though!
