Is there some magic to this footswitch or should it be pretty straight up?

I just got the amp, and was playing around, and it seems the channel's don't change as they ought to with the footswitch and the boost is sometimes lit up and sometimes not....??? I can't get it to light up on channel 3, and I had it boosting 1 and 2 and then that stopped working. I'll be posting some pics VERY soon, but in the meantime, I'm trying to get this thing to run - and the learning curve has thrown me - I thought it was pretty straight up.

Thanks for any feedback.

V.

Check how you have the channels set up. If you have Loop off or Boost set to always "on" channel 3 might be one reason.

Well, aside from the amazing awesomeness of the amp itself, I have found that the cable end of the medusa plug to the amp is screwy. Something's not right with it - loose connections within the medusa terminating head. I can get that sorted - a bit piss poor for a high end amp no less, but I can live with it - at least it's not head related :gethim:

Nevertheless, I'll post a full report on the rig-talk main thread where I've already posted some eye candy. I've only had her at moderate volume levels and that's no way to start a review.

Peace,
V.

PS - all I can say is, of the tones I've conjured so far.... :worship: :worship: :worship:

I've had 2 XTCs and had problems with both footswitches. It really stems from bad LEDs - when they fail, it screws all the switching up.

Since you bought it brand new, I'd dump it back on the dealer and tell them to get you a new one.

I'll just call Jorg directly and get it swapped out for a new one - screw the inbetween nonsense with the dealer...

I'm a bit pissed, but whatever. Shit happens - in the amazing awesomeness of this amp overall, a loose cable end ain't the end of the world. But it's kinda something that's under my skin ya'know?

Peace,
V.
