I am looking for a 2x12 wiring plate/harness for 2 16 ohm speakers that I want to run parallel to make it 8 ohms. I am planning on swapping speakers in this a lot, so I want to use the clips for the speaker terminals, instead of having to fuck with soldering. Pic related is how big my plate on the back of the cab is. Any suggestions?

Is making one an option? I've gotten everything you're going to need on Amazon.

I can for sure try, I didn't see this post. How much in total would it be?

I have the links cause I've bought all this at one time or another.

And if you don't have a soldering iron you can use the hot section of the flat top!

LOL thanks Donnie. I do have a soldering iron. I was just trying to be lazy about it and get a cheap harness, but being cheap and lazy never pays off. So I will do it myself.

Bonus is you end up with leftover parts for the next project that comes up.
Excellent plan with the alligator clips for quick/easy comparing.

@japetus If you've never soldered clips onto larger gauge wire a trick that will make
the solder grab on and flow easy is to pre-heat the clips in an oven.

Depending on the wattage of your iron, soldering them cold can be tough.

I'll keep that in mind. I will use the rest of the cable to hook these up. I am ready to get this going for some winter late night vinyl.

What brands? I was in Audio OEM for over 20 years and have worked with many of them.

Receiver looks classic late 70s/early 80s and the speakers are later 80s????

My dad gave them to me, he bought them when my parents got married in 78. Pioneer SX 780 with the Pioneer HPM-100. They just don't make stuff at consumer level that sounds like this anymore.

I wonder if he took a lot of trips to Africa.

Probably Asia - he was really, really into the culture and people and went often.
Walking into his office you'd be convinced he was Japanese or Chinese.

Was an awesome eye opener for a kid in his 20s who'd never left his small home town.

I weirdly bumped into the guy two years in a row at the CES show in the early 2000s.
I don't mean we noticed each other and got to talking, we literally walked into one
another in very crowded Casinos.
Made for really good laughs the second time.
