Did someone get an Xmas bonus early?

Wow...

Why only 6 modules? Lets hope you have 2 ready to go...

Just got the order! I will do my best to get it to you asap!

:rock: Hope you get it soon, since that means I'll get it even sooner :lol: :LOL:. You said you're going to run both m4s into the mod50 right? What are you planning to use to switch between them?

Ground Control Pro into Switchblade 8B or GCX.
I've got both. I'll see which is more practical.

I know I won't be able to switch from M4 modules to Mod loaded modules without unplugging the returns first, but I'm studio only use so that's the least of my worries.
take care,
Russ

If you run the Send of the Mod into the GCX switcher you can...

Use the GCX in to split Inputs to all yer boxes...

I have RM50 Send-> GCX In 1 then M4 into GCX 1 Return GCX 1 Out into GCX 2..RM4 into GCX 2 Return and GCX 2 Out to RM50 Return.

GCX 1 toggles RM50/M4 and GCX 2 toggles M4/RM4 ..... so

GCX 1 and 2 off = RM50
GCX 1 on and 2 off = M4
GCX 1 off and 2 on = RM4

set up the patches to switch GCX accordingly and you're good to go. :D

If I were going to use the GCX, what I would do is the following

Guitar -> GCX Loop 1 IN
GCX Loop 1 Send -> Input Mod50
Mod50 Send -> GCX Loop 1 Return
GCX Loop 1 Out -> GCX Loop 2 In
GCX Loop 2 Send -> M4 #1 Input
M4 #1 Output -> GCX Loop 2 Return
GCX Loop 2 Out -> GCX Loop 3 In
GCX Loop 3 Send -> M4 #2 Input
M4 #2 Output -> GCX Loop 3 Return
GCX Loop 3 Output -> Power amp

That way if Loop 1 is on, then you are using the Mod50's preamp, if Loop 2 is on, then you have M4 #1, and loop 3 you have M4 #2.

I've used the GCX in the past that way, and it worked very well.

I'd use it for 3-4 pedals in front of the amp, and then to switch between 2-3 preamps. That was back in the day when I actually NEEDED more preamps. My "pre-Egnater" days! Now that I have my M4, a Lexicon MPXG2 and a power amp is plenty!

I must be thinking about this backwards...using teh returns instead of teh sends lol...works tho'

Whatever works :). I know for a fact the way that I described will isolate all of the preamps from each other to keep signal loss and noise at a minimum. I used to have a rig where I used the Marshall 25th anniversary head, 30th Anniversary head running w/o power tubes to effectively make it a preamp (heavy one at that!), and a JMP-1 running into a Marshall 9200 power amp. Worked great. It's so nice to be able to get all those types of tones in a 2-space rackmount preamp though :).
