4212 contour button

I have just had a very strange thing happen to me while playing my Tourmaster 4212. I switched over to Overdrive 1 and pressed the contour button, the amp went silent. I pushed it again thus turning the contour off and the amp came to life again. I then shut down the amp and powered it back up and have not encountered this problem again since. My question is, is this something I should have the shop look at or could it have just been a one time glitch? Anybody else experience this?

imho, glitch, but not one time.

check v5 tube...maybe it's loose.

if you find it to be suspect (possibly by switching it out with another tube, say, v1 tube) like, weak, or microphonic....then just replace it.

i suggest a jj ecc83s for this v5 contour position.

mine actually did this too, but on clean 1

i just kept pressing it in and out, it almost sounded as if it was a dirty contact or something.
