I just set the mics down, set the levels and played until the riffs were somewhat tight. 5153 on one side of the room and the FJA 5150 on the other side. I ran the 5153 through the EVH cab and a cab loaded with Scumbacks. The 5150 was going through a Splawn cab with Small Blocks and Big Blocks and another Splawn cab with MoW/Gov's

This was at my old place with just carpet on the walls and the amps sitting right up against the walls.

Although I did eq my amps to cut a bit more in the first video and I am playing just the Uber in the second video, it seems that the room is greatly impacting the overall sound. The cabs sit out from the walls a bit at the new place due to the acoustic panels so the room sounds completely different. It took some adjusting to the sound because you can hear everything... We spent the first couple practices tweaking because it was so clear. I just treated the corners this week so I am curious how that will sound at practice this weekend (hopefully kill some of the excess bass).

Awesome Laura! I love the 5150/5153 Stereo. I didnt hear any delay though ;)

Holy shit does that Fortin Uber kill!!!!!! Nice clips Laura!!!

The 5153/5150 rig sounds great! What mods did you have done on the 5150? I still kick myself for selling my 6505 and am really torn between picking up another one or snagging the 5153.

My 5150 is an early FJA with bias and clarity mods. My 5153 is stock except that it did have some issues so when I had it serviced, I had my tech install an external bias pot. The 5153 is more refined and smooth in comparison to the 5150's that I have played. 5150's have more cut and snarl but the 5153's are thicker, more saturated and a bit more compressed.

Love that 5150 III! I just picked up an FJA 5153 here and It's a brutal amp for sure!
