After sever years with the Bad Horsie, I decided it was time to clear up some much needed space on my pedal board. After seven or eight wahs, I decided on the 535q. What a fantastic wah pedal!

If you like one sound there are other pedals. I use the 535 with it's many voices.

it's a great pedal for sure....i am using a weeping demon ibanez now that i like a lot though...and i also like the morley bad horsie and bad horsie 2.....if i was going to buy a dunlop it'd be the 535q though

I got rid of my Bad Horsie to get the 535q. I hated the way it boosted the signal. It would clip my clean channel. And you can do Shaft with a distorted clean channel...lol!

i have a 535q myself, awesome pedal when engaged but i feel it really changes your tone even when off in the signal path

I love the 535q also, however, I agree with you that it sucks tone when off...soooo, I put a looper in my fx chain that bypasses all of the pedals when I'm not using them and gives me a clean signal staight into the amp.

I have a dimebag dunlop which is basically a tweaked 535q. Awesome wah. Not true bypass but when it's loud and live no-one will notice. The only other wah I've been hot to try is the RMC Wheels of Fire wah.

Apparently, some of the 535Qs are true bypass? Maybe the older pedals weren't and the newer pedals are (or versa vice?)

Bought mine new about 2 1/2 years ago, it's definitely true-bypass.

I don't believe Dunlop wahs are true bypass at all. Even the chrome limited editions are not TB.
The Vox clyde 848 is a TB.
