It's not a super high gain head as I would classify a Recto, JCM 2000, Mark IV Lead channel, etc., I would say it's medium gain. But with a dirt pedal or treble booster, it really opens up!

It can stay clean with the Gain down and the Master Volume up or get really nasty with the Gain cranked up. I think it's pretty versatile. When the Gain is cranked up and ya get the power tubes and OT smokin' it's scary.... Some real expressive amp tones there.
