'78 Marshall JMP 2204 - SOLD

Selling my '78 2204 (against my better judgement)! It's lived it's life in a studio, so it is virtually un-touched by the elements, and except for a conversion to EL34s (done with vintage resistors) and good maintenance (a cap replacement (filter and bias) Master volume pot replaced) it's stock. All original iron, sounds like a good 2204 should. Loud as hell, but very Plexi-like with the gain backed off. Super clean, and ready to go for another 40 years.

That's not a accurate date code. Marshall only had jmp serials on the front after 79' fyi. Nice amp!

Yeah but the k in the serial number confirms 1978.

The transformers are also dated 78.
