So, I kind of lean towards 16 ohm speakers every time I hear a comparison on YT of the same speaker type in different ohm values.
But lately, it made me think if I only hear the difference in NFB of the amp, when the output jack is changed in the amp.
So what do you guys think? Do the speakers really sound different or is it the NFB that changes?

Most amps have the NFB taken from the impedance selector taps so it doesn’t matter what speakers you connect to the amp, the NFB remains the same.

I know the very early Marshalls had the NFB taken from the speaker jack but even Marshall changed it to the impedance selector back in the 60s.

Different taps off the transformer sound and react different.
8 vs 16 ohm speakers of the same type sound different.
So, both contribute.
