A bad ass Uber

High gain and metal just doesn't get too much better than being played on an Uberschall modded by Mark Cameron. I had gotten this a while ago, but it took a pretty good hit during shipping and bent the chassis at the MV/Power switch side. When the chassis bent, the face plate got fucked all to hell too. So, Jorg sent me a replacement face plate straight from Bogner. Got all that changed out today and retubed it.

it's probably a lot like yours Laura. channel 1 has been leveled out a bit to run with channel 2 as far as volume/master. channel 2 is insane, tightened up and with a push/pull on the presence to take the edge off when selected.

Channel 1 before the mods was pretty much non-existent. It is chickin' pickin' clean with no volume issues now (like yours). I have a couple added controls on mine too. Makes the bass not so overbearing and I can dial out the ugly Uber-sizzle.

Yeah, the pull pot I mentioned on the presence control knocks the fur off of it, pretty much like you are describing. I didn't look at the wiring too much, but one of the speaker outputs is blocked. I assume he did something with the NFB circuit. The bass is very controllable on the amp, and changes depending on cabinet/speaker combination. I don't use the clean channel, just make sure the light works every once in a while but it is way loud enough when running the master up there where it should be.

Even as bad ass as it is, it will probably be for sale soon. My Dual OD SLO covers the ground I need from the Uber.

Before it gets sold and I pack it up. Been on vacation for 5 weeks and everything's packed away in road cases. Can't be arsed with it right now.....

Gone is a little of the sizzle you would normally get at moderate volumes and the bass is more in tact where you can throw the bottom end to it, without it choking out the rest of the spectrum and flubbing out.
