A couple of Herbert/cab questions

Just a couple of questions really.
I have a Herbert which I absolutely love. I'm currently using it through a Hughes and Kettner Triamp mk1 Cab, which is a 100w cab with four celestion greenbacks (25w each). I'm a bit worried about damaging the cab with the 180w power and massive bass of the Herbert, so I tend to turn the deep and bass controls down a bit when I crank it up, to take it a bit easier on the cab (especially as I only play 7-string guitars).

So I wondered what the opinion is on this - will four 25w greenbacks handle the Herbert okay? I only ever turn the Herbert up to 3 or 4 on the master volume, so I'm never pushing it hard.

Also, the cab will run at 8 ohms mono (which is how I'm running it at the moment) or two 4 ohm stereo inputs. So can I run out of the two 4 ohm outputs of the Herbert into the two inputs of the cab? What (if any) difference will that make to the sound (compared to 8 ohm mono)?

Eventually I want to get a Diezel cab but it might be a while so I just want some advice on using the HK cab in the meantime.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Rich

Use it mono and the 8 Ohm out on Herbert.

Running 2x4 Ohm outs into Herbert would result 2 Ohm - and Herbert has no output for that.

About the max. wattage:3-4 on Herberts master should be ok.
