AMBIEN!!!!


As most of you know, I've had insomnia for roughly going on a month or so, Finally got a script from my doctor for Lunesta....STAY AWAY! that shit is wretched. Went back finally got a script to Ambien..


Ah....rest. it's nice to have actually slept and rested for more than 3 hours.
 
I'm happy for ya. As a person who gets 2-3hrs of sleep a day I totally understand your happiness.

:lol: :LOL: I'm at work.....Graveyards :doh: doesnt help. But I'm on a STRICT sleep and workout schedule. I actually have to "jog" 8 floors of stairs here at work every night 3 times a night, "Doctors Orders" oh well, cool with me, gets me off my lazy ass. :thumbsup:
 
You know what? I should get one of those Graveyard shift jobs too. I used to have overnight jobs for years, but I quit recently, now when I think about it I can't get sleep anyway & not much productivity because I can't be loud at this time, at least I'd have some money coming. :confused:

3 times 8 floors is a lot, are you sure you can do that? I'd die the second time. :lol: :LOL:

Yea I know, and I'm a pack a day smoker too.....Been thinking about quitting, so this may be the perfect chance to do it....need a cigarette? Run the stairs.... :lol: :LOL:

That stuff is fun if you just stay awake all night while it's trying to knock you out. And then you still sleep really well, instead of having a hang over or whatever. :D

I was about to make a post about Ambien too! :)

So, are there any contraindications I need to know about? I'm in Europe right now and got a few from my Doc to sleep on the planes... B***h of it is... on the way over, I had a 22oz Yuenglings in a pub, an Ambien, and two scotches on the plane when I noticed it wasn't working. Not a damn wink. We had to go as far as Romania, so between taxi rides and layovers, I was up for ~34hrs.

How long's it take to kick in?

Someone mentioned that it might not work in the presence of alcohol, have you seen or heard that? I'm guessin' I'm just gonna try popping two on the way home.

No idea, I dont drink so I'm no help for you there. They work great for me so far.

The BEST advice I can give you is stay the hell away from Lunesta, that shit is straight from the depths of hell. I slept good, BUT woke up feeling like a cat had pissed in my mouth, had a MASSIVE headache, and just felt like shit all day.

Word bro, thanks for the heads up... Sorry to hear about the sleeping issues. That's some shitty side effects for a marketed drug.

Not trying to sound all activist-y, but damn, they ought to just legalize marijuana, and distribute Marinol for people with at least mild sleeping issues... probably help a helluva lot.
 
I've had a prescription for this stuff for a while...but haven't taken one yet. I've been just using Advil PM.... I don't want to get addicted to a sleep-aid, but the way I've been sleeping lately, I may have to break down and try it.
 
understand what a bitch you got. My dad had to take these pills to help him stop smoking (champix), and the doctor gave him the wrong prescription, so when he came off them, he was scary, lets say, what was happening to him. Worst part is, he had to come off them TWICE in three months, so yeah, understand what a bitch you gotta deal with.
 
If you want to quit smoking get a perscription for Zyban. I took some this summer and have been cold turkey for 3 months. Its damn nice.
 
Carbs, weed and beer - this combo puts me to sleep every time. :yes:
 
This may sound gay..but take off your shoes and walk barefoot in the grass for 30 minutes and then go back to sleep!@

Seriously, I used it yesterday, and didnt today. AND I got plenty of sleep, a little restless but better still. So I may just use it when I NEED to. dont need any other addictions :)
