hi guys, I was reading on this site http://www.montyjay.com/jamesamps.html about James's amps and stuff over the years, and found his VH4 settings.....

Now, since we know he doesn't play that vh4 all by itself (he has parametric EQs running with it) and god knows what else to boost it, I wanted to hear the VH4 in those settings ALONE, with no boost, no EQ, no nothing....just the Amp.

Who cares to make a Clip or video with it? I'd gladly appreciate it :)

I do have a VH4 but havent got a videocamera.

I'm going to reamp guitars with a projekt I'm in, Diezel VH4 only. But that could take a month.

I've seen those settings before and they are strange.

First.
The bass. On 4 or 5 Oclock is a lot!! I never get it past 2 O clock while the deep being on 12 O clock.

Then the gain. 1 O clock on channel 3 and 3 O clock on channel 4? Hetfield using EMG81 this gain is too much.
I always have channel 3 and 4 around 10 O clock, and i'm using Gibson 496T or JB's.

Maybe the output volume on his wireless is set very low.
 
First of all, thanks for answering :thumbsup:

I asked for a clip, or a video because I know he uses a PArametric EQ to finetune certain freq. and stuff, so maybe he has it set up like that, to later on complement it with the EQ.
 
Could also be that he has replaced all the 12ax7 tubes with 12AT7 tubes = less gain.
