I see myself owning an Armaggedon in 6 months when they're out. I'm definitely looking for a metal amp, this sounds great from what I've heard, and I like keeping it in the Egnater family!

Since we're a good 5/6 months out, I have a purely cosmetic request/suggestion. Sure, worrying about looks is a bit shallow...but c'mon, when hasn't rock and metal had an image component?

There's nothing wrong with the current Armageddon styling:

I've seen other amps with that "ribbed for her pleasure" front tolex. The white ribs have a "less classic, more mean" look, and the Egnater logo looks good against them.

But...I gots me a weakness for tubey blue glowy goodness...why? Because...it's blue! And it glows! :)

Being slightly more analytical, I think that any sort of glowing tube (such as the Rivera "red tubes glowing through a metal cage") from the front accentuates the "power" aspect of the amp. Glow = burn = power = danger = METAL.

Blue Glow is even cooler than red glow, because it adds an "unnatural" touch to the glow, like they're's something supernatural going on in the amp. This of course makes it even more powerful, dangerous, and METAL.
(full disclosure, I play industrial metal, and of course glowing things are very industrial, too).

Anyway, my official suggestion is to maybe remove the ribs, and make them slits that expose glowing blue tubes. Or the "Armageddon" nameplate glow blue. Or the dial legend glow blue. Or any other even more creative way to use a blue glow with a metal amp that the Egnater Brain Trust can imagine!

There are many things I don't know. Would adding blue LEDs compromise the noise gate or shielding? Is it not possible due to the internal layout? Would it add significantly to the cost? You guys know, I don't. I can imagine many reasons why it might not work, or might only be possible on an "Armageddon Custom Shop" amp built (in very limited numbers at high cost) in Michigan. But if it is possible, and it's just an aesthetic choice, please consider it. :)

Thanks for reading this far,

Sorry for the non-Egnater link, but if you want to see some wicked glowing guitar amps, see daramps.com.
Their giant 6C33 power tubes look cool too.

I agree, that's a cool looking glow. Imagine how cool a glowing Egnater Armageddon could be!

With some cleverly placed LED's a few resistors and a 9 volt you could make any amp glow...
