Hi everyone,

at first I must say I found this forum to be really helpful to drive an amp choice or for additional and really good information.

Well, that beeing said, the Eny is really great and huge
Sounds beautifully, as is. Can't resist to the pleasure to swapp some tubes cause I got many at home: JJ, EH, ... As a proof of a great amp it responds so well to tube exchanges. I keep 2 stock ruby EL34 and mix with 2 JJ KT77, put some JJ 83s, 803S mixed with stock pre amp tubes.

No need for additional dist depals as I needed with my previous amp. I even good a nice fuzz-like sound on mode Texas (gain at 3 pm) with my strat neck pu... and with my SG texas, mega, lead.... so good for ACDC like

the clean is great too with both Strat & SG.

and the whole provide me on the 2 channels & modes great sound textures at home level. Need more ???

Just a question so far: I think the compensated output doesn't have a speaker emulation, right ? not tested yet... you're happy with ?

I'll post some samples in utube (i'm a simple amateur, so not great playing...)

Be aware of this thread ;) Otherwise Papa will kick your butt :gethim: :D

Apart of that -- ENJOY!!! I envy you but hopefully I'll get one of these beasts one day!

Harrrrr ok guys !!! :D
I didn't found this topic in my search cause I focused only on Eny threads...
Very interesting at a first glance: I 'll get through in details to check. ;)

Anyway, about the compensated out, I don't have my answer...
I just made a first test and the sound was very very bassy and appears to be muffle . Need to investigate more on that...

Try here :) Hope it helps. What did you plug your eny into? Peter mentions that the output is frequency filtered so it shouldn't be too bassy nor muddy...

Yet, I'm speaking only from the perspective of an outsider (as previously mentioned) :( so actually never tried the output myself.

Hmmm, I'm very very pleased with the Eny and all its sounds: great !
But I'm not so satisfied with the emulated out.
When using the line out of my Koch LB120 (by passing attenuator section, using only the master) and got a great recording sound (EMU1212M, 2 amplified monitors with a boomer cab) on the Texas, Mega, Lead for my homestudio purposes.
With the Eny line out, I got a muddy/bassy sound... don't know why... Do you have some suggestions ?

Can you post some records? That might put some light. It might be an issue with input capacitance of the sound card and output impedance of the line-out (plus the cable) so it attenuates high tones. But it shouldn't be that bad as you describe it...

Dears,

thanks all for our promptness.. ;)
I will be on business trip until friday: so I'll make some quick samples to share.

Hi All

As I said, here are 3 sample, made with the same settings on Texas mode drive at 2 PM with the bridge P/U of my SG.
Eny out, Kock out and a micked sample on my cab (2*12 home made eminence governor+wizard).

As you can hear the Eny line out is muffled & bassy compared to 2 others.

Not a big deal as i love so much the Eny sounds on all channels  ... but can I get a better out nevertheless ?
Your views ?

LoL, was SOO waiting for this...

Edit: Papa, it's inevitable, I know you don't want to see your babies tampered with, but it's just a part of the search for tone, be confident that you make an AMAZING product, and people swapping tubes is by no means them saying they aren't satisfied with the head, people who spend 10's of thousands of dollars on boutique gear still swap tubes to experiment, but that doesn't mean they don't like their amp, at least you can say you didn't warn us, we love you papa Diezel!!!!

Not a question of tube for the amazing sound the Eny has ! Whatever the tubes it will sound great, for sure.
Any ideas for the emulated out ?
