I don't think the guy posts here even though he's a member, but avoid a guy called Mike Hock (on the Dean Forum) or SrDeMaFp (here, MLP, SSO, PRSTalk) at all costs. Guy's real name is Mike Nugent; I've known him for about 4 years across different forums and FB, spoken at length on the phone about sobriety and personal matters and I never thought he'd go this low.
I got tipsy almost two months ago and bought (by which I mean paid him in full) a specialized Dean ML import from him. Dude has YET to ship it and has now fallen completely off the map; won't return calls/texts, never responds to PMs on forums etc......
It needed some work, and he told me 'a few days' and then it'll ship. I'm 45 days in with 4 missed ship dates and nothing.....
His real name is Mike Nugent, and he lives in NJ...he's had some problems with shipping before, but usually it's just later than people would like. I know he's got some personal issues and I've tried to be understanding about it, but the latest round of unreturned calls and texts pushed it over the edge for me and I don't care anymore....dude doesn't care about my problem, which is that he owes me a guitar or some $, so fuck it and him.
I've been trying to avoid a burn thread in hopes that he'd get his shit together, but it doesn't seem like it's gonna happen.
What I paid for the guitar was most of $1,000, and I've written it off. This is nothing more than an effort to get his name out there so people don't make the same mistake...dude sells a lot of parts and guitars on the forums listed, and I know a bunch of us cross post on a lot of different forums, so be wary and do NOT, under any circumstances, send him any money.
This isn't a personal vendetta or anything, just a warning for the RT nation...I've always had good deals and interactions with forum members here online and over the phone and don't want to see anyone get taken the way I did.
