I bought a pretty nice acoustic (Larrivée OM-03R) and it should be here in the next couple of days.

I know most of the acoustic player use acoustic guitar amps, maybe they're clearer or something, but I don't really wanna buy an acoustic amp right now. How clear will my acoustic sound through my Diezels? or even my Little Joe?

will I loose some of my acoustic harmonics?

hey joey when billy got the pumpkins back together he played his acoustics through his herbert on stage and it sounded amazing
really crisp and warm

IMO, an acoustic is only natural when played by itself. With that in mind, I'm surely
impressed with the JP6's Piezo bridge through channel 1 on the VH4. It's a very
wide ranging channel, so you will surely be please, or as pleased as one can get using
a piezo bridge.

I also have played acoustic guitars through my VH4 and it sounded great. No need for other amps imo.

Agree. Their is something about the Diezel power amp and the Deep knob that add some
life back to Acoustic and Piezo signals. It's warm, crisp and punchy.

+1

I've played my Takamine through CH1 of my VH4 with a Boss chorus pedal a couple of times, and loved the sound! You'll likely just need to adjust the EQ settings to suit the guitar, that's all.

It you're tracking, having one dry track (just DI from the guitar or the guitar mic'd up) mixed with a track of the amp mic'd up you can get a nice full sound!

If the preamp in the axe is good enough you could also try the serial return. Should give the most natural sound.

Very True. I also use the Thru jack with an iso transformer into an ADA through the serial return.
One VH4, 132 channels. :D

How does this work? I occasionally use a Mandolin and Ukulele through my Diezel so I'm interested in your little trick here...

This is good to know, my wife is thinking of getting an acoustic. Thanks for asking the question.

I know nothing about the preamps in acoustics, but one possible guitar uses a Pro Fishman preamp, are they any good?
