I know we mainly keep it in the electric world here, but this might be a nice change of pace.

If you have an acoustic, what are you playing? Out of the goodness of my heart, I gave my brother my 25 year old Yairi. His ex-wife pawned the one he had, and he always loved mine. I figured since our dad recently passed, I would give it to him to help cheer him up in some fashion. So, he has it now.

I’ve been looking at some short scale Gibsons and Eastmans.

I had a cheap Yamaha acoustic a long time ago. I loved it but, I gave it away to someone that needed it. I have never owned a nice acoustic but I love them.

A good old friend had a cheap one that sounded and played like a dream.

1979 Ovation, Ibanez Shallow Creek, Fender Audition, Taylor TSwift Baby Taylor. Those are my "Main" acoustics, at least.

I've decided I'm going to get that new Finneas Acoustasonic soon. Thing is pretty versatile and affordable as hell too. Don't care for the non-Finneas ones.

I like the Japanese Hohners, quality for affordable. Made by Alvarez I do believe. We have a couple of those over here. My wife is is the real acoustic junkie, she has more guitars than I do. A couple Martins, a Washburn Parlor, one of the Hohners, an old Guild, and one of the newer Iris acoustics.

I bought my son a cheap 3/4 sized Epiphone classical. It had good wood for the price I paid for it. I can barely play the thing because the scale is so short.

I got turned on to the Gibson J-185 after speaking to Jordon Zadorozny (Blinker the Star) a few weeks ago. I asked him what acoustic he used on August Everywhere, and he told me it was Ken Andrews' Gibson Jumbo that was a little smaller than a J-200. I was like.... HOT DAMN!!! That's the J-185! It's a 24.75" scale, so similar to a Lester.

Also, the Eastman E16-SS-TC-LTD (long model name) interests me too. It's a dreadnought with a spruce top with maple back and sides. The J-185 has maple back and sides also.

After I go play the 185, I know the force of gas will be about equal to holding back a rocket ship that had Taco Bell the night before. FML!!!

I have a 70s yamaha, an 80s d-28 (pre-adjustable truss), a legator 8 string multiscale, an agile 7 string classical multiscale, a GPC I got for Mother's Day ❤️ , and a couple of acoustasonic teles (they grow on you :ROFLMAO:). Couple others throughout the years. Probably forgetting one or two.

I had a 78 k. yairi..i could take it or leave it. But my dad has a 70s 12 string alvarez yairi. That is one of the best guitars i have played

I have a Guild D-20 I really love and a Furch Blue series dreadnought I love the sound of, but I definitely prefer the feel of the Guild with its 12” radius and 1 11/16 nut width.

The Furch handles lower tunings better so I tend to keep it in a dropped tuning and the Guild in standard. That and a capo covers most every tuning I need on acoustic.

I have a Takamine steel string and a Yamaha nylon string. I like them both, but stick to my electrics 98% of the time.

D18. Love that fucking thing. View attachment 337464
My wife found a 2016 D-18 in like new condition. I'm guessing it never was really played but someone, probably at the shop it was being sold at, put a large 1" long gash/ding behind the bridge. My guess is it was from the case lid closing with the guitar partially in and one of the latches bit into it. Slightly unsightly but the rest of the guitar was like new and she was able to get it for about $1600. It's her favorite guitar too.

I'm a Martin fan ever since i was in my 20s and walked thru a small shop selling them. I can't remember the model right now but got one of the mid sized, electric acoustic, made in the U.S. I even love their cheaper ones.
