I'm curious about this unit. How does it compare to a BF Fender reverb?

It's very good. Very lush and natural sounding for a spring unit. Runs in the parallel loop so it uses the FX mix knob for reverb level.

Thanks, any idea how much they cost?

I don't remember. I ordered mine with the head. It wasn't too much or I'd remember... :D

Its a great reverb. I really liked it and im picky about my verb. I was using a Furman RV-1 spring reverb and it was way better than that unit. If I could have it in a rack unit I would buy it.

To bring up an older thread again...

I just landed a Mod50 and would like to add reverb to it. I emailed bruce and left a message at the amp lounge but haven't heard a response as to whether they have any extra reverb units laying around. Wondering if anyone has installed one themselves and if it's as simple as selecting one from Mojotone, putting it in a bag, installing it in the chassis and making the connections as someone outlined in a previous post here? Or, is there other circuitry involved that goes along with this? The parts themselves are very inexpensive if that is all that's involved.

Recommendations for two or three spring model? and what impedance would match this amp? I'm looking for a warm natural spring reverb sound like a classic Fender Deluxe. Also recently played a Dr. Z that had a nice reverb with a lot of clarity and richness (maybe they both use accutronics tanks???)

As an alternative, I'm thinking about just securing one or two pedals inside the chassis (one for spring style reverb and one with a little more diverse offering). Have been reviewing the Boss/Fender 63 pedal, Boss RV-2, EH holy grail, and mekkalo spring chicken (chicklet). Anyone have any feedback on these or other recommendations? I don't want a stand alone unit or rack unit because I'm trying to keep this a simple grab and go rig.

The Egnater reverb tank had a circuit board mounted to the tank and plugged into the power jack behind the tubes on the mod50.

Thanks for the info Jamie, now that I know there is more to it (than just a tank), I'll keep pursuing bruce/amplounge or look into the pedal route for a quick fix.

I thing I paid between $150-$180 for it. Dont really remember

WOW  still worth it.

It certainly is and I was prepared to pay it, but while waiting for Bruce to see if he had all the parts needed to build one I lucked into a used one. Yours to be exact. :D

Cool   I was going to mount it in a rack mount case and keep it but was on a selling spree…. never ending selling spree.
