So I'm expecting a mod50 soon (thanks Justin!) and was wondering if and how much it would cost to add in a reverb tank. From what I understand you don't really "lose" the parallel loop if you decide to not plug it in at that moment. Anyway, I mostly likely my cleans with reverb, so I was wondering if the shop will install one in there post production. If it's relatively expensive I may try out a pedal or something in the meantime, but if I'm not satisfied I may just send it in.

For those of you that do have the reverb tank installed, what are your opinions?

Thanks,

Diego

We will build you one and you can install it. It's pretty easy once its built and bagged. Cost is $225 shipped. Let us know after July 29 when we are back from vacation and we can take care of your verb desire!

Thanks for the quick reply Jeff (and you too Russ). That's not bad at all, and that I don't have to send it out and back which helps keep down the price too.

I still have a few small questions Jeff, if you don't mind. So if I understand correctly (I have read the manual btw), you can't really turn an effects loop 'on' or 'off', you can just turn the effects in those loops on or off. I like reverbs on my clean sounds, but don't use it at all on my dirty tones, especially high gain, because it muddies it a bit too much for faster playing. Is there any way to assign the reverb to a channel or toggle it? I have a sound sculpture ABCadabra that I think I could maybe use if not to help achieve this...thoughts?

Thanks again for your time, if all goes well I'll call the shop after your vacation

Only way to turn off the reverb if its ours is to turn the effects knob on the front down or off.

I have the reverb on my MOD50, and it's not bad...not the best I've heard, but not bad at all. The one thing the amp as a whole is missing, IMO, is the ability to to switch (esp. footswitch) the reverb and/or loops on and off at will. I'd love to be able to control this via MIDI just as I do my channel changing, so that I can tell it when to use the reverb and when not to. But that's a generally small complaint for the overall brilliance of the amp.

I have to agree with you there, but am trying to find a solution. You could use a sound sculpture ABCadabra for the series loop, to toggle it on and off via midi. Look at the second example on this page http://www.soundsculpture.com/products/ ... a-apps.htm
Only difference is that you would plug the effects send in the common jack, the effects return to the A Jack, and then your effects in the B/FX jack.

One final question Jeff, because I'm not sure if this would work. If you just mute the output of the reverb (a foot switchable kill switch between the reverb tank and the effects return on the parallel loop) would that work to turn the reverb off when not wanted, or would you get some weird sound or noise issues?

Thanks again.
