I set up my marvel mod to have the cameron mod - stk pre 2004 - added 2.7k//.47 which seems to be what is in the xtc 20th red channel. I think this sounds fantastic = tons of gain super fat, perfect for me.

You have 2k7 in series or paralleled by .47uF cap? If paralleled You are getting 2.12k in cathode paralleled by .47uF. In my amp any value below 5k there produced hiss and squeal. Lucky You if Your amp doesn't do that

I had to stay with 10k there paralleled by tweaked Cameron mod. Works fine
20th Ann does have 2k7//.47uF in 4th Red gain stage but the circuit is redesigned, with no cold gain stage here as in JCM800 or 101B.

I'm switching in a 4K//.47 in // with the 10k to get 2.8K//.47- no problems with oscillation.Thanks to you for all your info that you posted and the sloclone forum(joey) and a lot of others.
