Advice for a new speaker in Mod50 combo

Hi,
I'm considering a change of speaker in my Mod50 combo. The actual one is a Celestion G12T-75 and I wonder if anyone ever tried a G12-65 or a EVM12L from EV.
And feel free to share your experiment with other speakers :)

What kind of tone are you looking for? I love the sound i get with celestion cl80. Its warm, balanced with good clarity when using lot of gain or effects.

Well I like a sound pretty much as yours, namely a lot of clarity, smooth, warm and most of all: not harsh. My lead tone is jazz fusion-like (lots of mids) but I also like a good blues and rock tone, like Robben Ford or Joe Bonamassa, hence the G12-65 and the EV.
 
Je pense qu'il y a un mec sur youtube avec un 4x12 monté en g12-65. Ça peut toujours te donner une idée. A tu pensé alnico? Ils ont généralement un son chaud et rond et fonctionne bien dans un combo. Ce serait superbe pour les lead ambient fusion que tu joue avec ta vigier.
 
Non je n'avais pas pensé aux alnico, je vais me renseigner là-dessus.
